You will join the Resources and Transformation directorate at Salford City Council, playing a key role in shaping the future of the council and how we deliver services to our residents. The roles we are hiring will sit within the Organisation Development team and Project Management team. They are:

About these roles

Organisation Development

We are looking for people to join the Organisation Development Team to lead and deliver culture change, transformation, and truly engage our workforce, partners and residents to ensure we are designing and delivering good services. 

OD and Culture Change Lead (Grade 5A, £51,515 to £53,213 - initially fixed-term contract for two years, with the view to make permanent once further funding is confirmed).

You will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of key strategic projects and transformation required to develop the organisation and its people. Reporting to the Strategic OD Manager, you will lead a small team consisting of the following roles that are also out for recruitment. OD and Change Business Partner (Grade 4B, £44,428 to £47,420 – permanent)

You will lead organisational development and design initiatives including creating engaging approaches across the workforce to meet the council, staff and residents’ needs. Read about the OD and Change Business Partner role in detail and apply.     

Engagement Officer (Grade 4B, £44,428 to £47,420 - permanent)

You will shape the development and delivery of engagement with our workforce, partners and residents to ensure we are designing good services, and their voices are at the heart of change. Service Designer (Grade 4B, £44,428 to £47,420 – permanent)

You will use service design approaches for change initiatives, building systems and processes around user experience, and be creative in your thinking and support us to reimagine and optimise public services. Read about the Service Designer role in detail and apply.

Project Management

We're seeking dedicated individuals to join our Project Management Team to own all aspects of execution of our transformation projects by fostering co-design and integrated working.

Project Manager - four roles
(Grade 5A, £51,515 to £53,213 – fixed-term contract for two years)

You'll champion a culture of innovation, and ensure our services are evolving to meet the changing needs of our residents, communities, and businesses.

You'll be at the forefront of shaping Salford's future and be able to lead a project through the entire delivery process, working closely with Senior Responsible Officers and project leads.

You’ll also manage, support and coach Project Officers, facilitating their learning and development. Some of the projects will be very technical, such as our ERP replacement project, whereas others are more change focused, but they all have one thing in common - you need an ability to lead and drive your project and build successful relationships.
