Joining our Team
It’s really important to us that our staff have a great start. We have a comprehensive induction programme in place which is aimed at helping new staff members settle in quickly and of which provides all the information and tools needed to do their job well. We want each and every staff member to feel valued and supported during their journey with Oldham Council.
Pay and Pension
At Oldham we believe in paying a fair wage that enables people to provide for themselves and their families, which is why we are committed to paying at least the Foundation Living Wage to all staff members.
Also as a member of staff you would be automatically enrolled into the appropriate pension scheme which has some great benefits including the option to save for retirement in a tax-efficient way.

Each year we hold our annual staff awards ceremony which allows the council to express our gratitude and celebrate the outstanding efforts of colleagues who work with a resident focus every single day.
