Full time salaries are:

·         Level 1 Social Worker (ASYE) – from £35,745 to £35,745 per annum

·         Level 2 Social Worker – from £36,648 to £38,223 per annum

·         Level 3 Social Worker – from £39,186 to £41,418 per annum

We are looking to recruit a forward-thinking, qualified social worker, preferably with some experience of having worked with Children with Disabilities.  We are on the start of a journey in Bury and doing things differently. Social Workers are such an important part of our journey, and we promise to develop your skills and support your learning. We want the best talent in Bury and need practitioners who help influence the services we are developing. We want to help you to grow, deliver confident practice with protected caseloads and be the best you can be.

We are one of the first Authorities in the North-west to be pioneering the Hertfordshire Family Safeguarding model of working with families and training will be provided to learn new skills such as motivational interviewing.  You will be working alongside Adult practitioners, giving you more time and scope to work with children.

 The CWD Team

You will be joining an enthusiastic and experienced team who are passionate about outcomes for children with disabilities. The team includes 7 social workers, 4 Family support workers ,assistant team manager and a Team manager. You will contribute to our progress as we continue to establish and embed child focussed ways of working with children, young people and families throughout our work.

The Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare or children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share this commitment. Appointment is subject to a satisfactory disclosure at the appropriate level under the Disclosure and Barring Service.

£1,000 payment to experienced Social Workers (at Level 2 and Level 3) after 12 months’ service, and a further £1,000 after 24 months’ service (conditions apply).
