We are looking for Supervising Social Workers to join our Supported Lodgings Scheme within the Leaving Care Service. We are aiming to recruit exceptional Social Workers who can champion and support our recruitment campaign here in Manchester for recruiting, undertaking initial and full assessments of Supported Lodgings providers as well as supporting the existing providers.

Manchester City Council are looking to recruit exceptional committed and motivated social workers to join our Supported Lodgings Scheme. Specifically, there is one positions available within our Supported Lodgings Team for Assessing and supporting Supported Lodgings hosts for young people with Manchester.
As an assessing social worker, you will be required to have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in children’s services and good knowledge of Supported Accommodation Regulations Standards March 2023, Fostering Minimum standards, and The Fostering Regulation Services (England) 2011. Be able to provide a high level of support and challenge to Supported Lodgings hosts to achieve positive outcomes permanence and stability, a good understanding of trauma informed practice and be able to develop and support Supported Lodgings hosts to provide a secure base for cared for children and young people. You will also be required to support us with existing young people's placement as well as providing regular supervision, training, annual reviews and other supports. In addition, you will be required to undertake initial and full assessment of Supported Lodgings hosts and present reports to the Supported Lodgings panel.
