Salary: £23,500 - £23,893 (pro-rated)

External candidates applying for this role must be a Rochdale Resident who lives within the municipal boundaries of the Borough of Rochdale

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated customer focused Early Years Library & Information Assistant to join our team. You will work closely with the Early Years Library Services Co-ordinator and will provide support where needed to deliver sessions for children in Rochdale Libraries.

You will also, at times, assist with the day to day library operations at various libraries and locations across the borough and will use your positive attitude and customer-facing experience to deliver excellent service to all library users.

Working closely with colleagues, managers and specialist library support teams, you will assist and support events, promoting the love of reading and ensuring libraries are welcoming, user-friendly places to visit.

The successful applicant will have experience of working within a customer-facing environment. Experience of working with families, young children, community groups and partners would be an advantage.

In accordance with Section 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 this post requires the ability to converse at ease with the members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
