Salary: Grade: 2C (scp 14-18) £27,334 to £29,269 per annum

About the role

The Highways Operative Role is vital in ensuring that Salford’s highways network remains safe, serviceable and meets the needs of commuters and residents alike.

 You will be responsible for delivering daily maintenance activities on the network with activities ranging from minor network repairs to being involved in the delivery of improvement schemes within the authority’s boundaries.

No two days will be the same and you can be expected to be involved in a wide range of activities aimed at keeping the highways network maintained to the high standards Salford City Council strives to achieve.

The role can, at times, be physically demanding so a good level of physical fitness is required as well as a willingness and ability to work outside in all types of weather, all year round.
