The Governors of St Andrew’s Methodist Primary School are seeking to appoint a creative and enthusiastic deputy headteacher, who will work alongside the headteacher to maintain and build upon the school’s high standards and success. This is a unique opportunity to join our very special school (judged ‘outstanding’ by OFSTED).

The deputy will initially have a part time teaching commitment in Key Stage 2 and will lead development of the curriculum and assessment.

We require a deputy headteacher who:

  • Has a proven track record of strong leadership
  • Will support and promote our Christian vision and values
  • Is an outstanding classroom teacher
  • Is an excellent communicator who values a teamwork approach
  • Has high standards and expectations in all areas of school life
  • Can continue to meet the high standards achieved by the school and is committed to continuous improvement 
  • Can offer excellent pastoral care to all
  • Will act as curriculum and assessment lead
  • Has the ability to form excellent partnerships and relationships within our school family and wider community

St Andrew’s Methodist Primary School educates 240 children and has a 30 place full-time Nursery. St Andrew’s is a heavily over-subscribed school.
