37 hours, Full Time, Part-Time position available

Your Role 
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in our Special Educational Needs Business Support Team to enhance and expand our SENSO team who are responsible for seeking and collating advice to inform Education and Health Care Plans (EHCP) for the young people in Stockport with special educational needs.
 
This is a key role as the process has statutory timescales and the Business Support Team play a key role in making sure that these timescales are adhered to.  The team you will be joining are a skilled and experienced team and although a knowledge EHCPs would be an advantage, it is not essential as full training will be given with ongoing support.
 
About You
 
We expect staff recruited at scale 4 to be hard-working, well-organised and to work well as part of a team. You will have a commitment to providing a high standard of customer service, with strong organisational and interpersonal skills. You will be able to empathise and be sensitive to the needs of the people using our services. You will have previous experience of dealing with customers and be able to prioritise your own workload.
 
You should be proficient in working with standard office IT applications including MS Office and with training be able to navigate in-house case management systems to retrieve and record information. 
 
About Us
 
The SEN Business Support Team provide a professional and essential part in the delivery of EHCPs for some of Stockport’s most vulnerable residents.  We work closely with the plan writers and other professionals who are part of the EHCP process.
 
This is a good opportunity to work with services across the Council and we support hybrid working.
