Job Title: Pastoral Mentor –  De-Escalation and Engagement   

Salary: Scale 5 point 12 £26,421-pro rata actual salary £20,295

Hours: 32.5 Hours per week (excluding 30 minutes lunch break)

Working Pattern: Monday -Friday- Term time only + 5 Inset days

Contract type: Permanent

Highfields college have an exciting opportunity for a Pastoral and De-escalation mentor.

This role will involve primarily supporting KS3 and 4 pupils, who have been permanently excluded from mainstream, to access learning and education.

The successful candidate will work day-to-day as a mentor for a form group of pupils, becoming one of their key adults.

Within this role you will support the pupils both academically and emotionally, using strong relationships to ensure our pupils are attending lessons, engaged, interacting respectfully, approaching situations with an open mind and using their time productively.
