Salary – £32,076- £33,945 with a 6% allowance for alternate weekends and 4% on Call.

Salary Grade – Band 6      

Working Pattern Full Time

Working hours – 36.25 hours per week, shifts am pm and alternate weekends

Contract type – one year Fixed Term

About us:
Ascot House Intermediate Care Unit supports Patients with therapy rehab goals within the 24-hour setting. We provide support with personal care, medications and therapy plans for people who have experienced recent illness or injury. Our focus is to support our Patients to regain their confidence and independence. Patients are given the time and space they need to progress with their goals to enable them to return home.

The team consists of 68 Support Workers, Assistant Practitioner, 4 Senior Support Workers and 4 Deputy Managers plus the Registered Manager.  We work as a multi-disciplinary team working alongside Nurses, Doctors, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapy and Social Workers this gives the service users a holistic assessment of their needs.

About the role:

Ascot house is an Intermediate Care services and a Discharge to Assess unit our goal is to support our Patients to progress with their rehab, gaining confidences to return home and  live independently. You will support the Registered Manager to lead, manage and coordinate the service.  Ascot house has an amazing team of staff who you will lead and support through supervision.  You should be creative in problem solving have a practical nature.  You will be responsible for the medication and management of medication whilst on duty. You will be expected to take part and lead on action learning sessions.  You will manage sickness following Trafford Councils policies and procedures. You will need to be confident at dealing with the general public and their expectations, manage their complaints and compliments.  You will undertake all training courses as required.

You will be required and undertake all tasks conducive to the role.
