Your role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, empathetic, and caring member of staff to fulfil a role as a resettlement support worker within our boroughwide resettlement team on a 2-year temporary contract. Our resettlement support workers play an integral role to facilitate the smooth transition of non-UK nationals settling in the borough.

You will manage a caseload of non-UK nationals.  You will develop a holistic service by providing advice, information, and guidance to those granted asylum or other leave to remain in the UK and how to access mainstream services.

You will work closely with other council and partnership teams.

It is important that you have some knowledge around developing sustainable move on options for clients and of child and adult safeguarding issues and how to respond if issues arise.

You will be required to demonstrate your experience of working with vulnerable people and experience of partnership working to develop sustainable solutions and positive outcomes for client needs.
